Angstrom Advanced INC X-ray diffraction, also known as crystallography, is a technique used to determine the atomic and molecular structure of crystal samples. The crystal is bombarded with X-ray beams and, as a result, the rays scatter into specific directions. By measuring the angles and intensities of these beams, X-ray diffraction instruments can create a 3D image of the electron density of the crystal. With this data, average positions of the atoms within the crystal can be determined as well as a host of other pieces of data. These X-ray diffraction and flaw detection instruments are readily available and manufactured by Angstrom Advanced Inc.
Angstrom Advanced Inc. designs and manufactures a variety of X-ray diffraction and flaw detection equipment for use in numerous applications across many different industries including metallurgy, mineralogy, and biological macromolecular crystallography.
